Would a chopping baler work better for mulch on strawberries?  In my mind it would but I don't know.

Since it hasn't been said, and near every manufacturer has been mentioned now.  The McHale is an impressive baler, you can get almost as much into a chopped 4x5.5' bale as a 5x6' non chopping baler.  We just bought it for the last cutting, but grass alfalfa mix bales avg'd 1540 nice and dry.
