Subject: Gleaner R52 chopper vs. impeller

Statesville, NC
My R52 has a chopper in it, and I have access to an impeller. I don't need to chop anything, and I will be baling some straw. How does the impeller compare to running the chopper in low speed in wheat? Is one better all around than the other, in corn or soybeans, if you don't need to size residue? Does the impeller pull more air thru the machine, possibly reducing dust at the feederhouse?
