northeast iowa | Just curious what everyone is paying for soybean meal. I get a 44% protein mix from local feed guy. It has all the minerals already mixed with it. I am a small hog producer and sell locker logs and the rest for cash at local hog buyer. I pay about $600 per ton, delivered 2 ton at a time. Well my protein bill is more than than the hogs I sold this year. Granted I pretty much had to start over last year with new gilts, and have a bunch to sell for this coming year, that alot of that protein went to. So just curious what you guys pay, big and small. | |
