I sure don't deal with storage on that scale...so take this for what it's worth. I understand being upset with the electrician. But what I've learned with our bins....its up to me to climb up and check the top layer to make sure the front has pushed through.

You say your temperature cables weren't working. For how long were they off line? That's another big red flag that the bin should have been checked.

I've made my own fair amount of mistakes in life. Sounds like this electrician may have too. In the end though, it's your crop. Sounds like you are have been lucky in this case. I'd count my blessings and move on.
