Subject: RE: Crop insurance and the FSA

SW Oklahoma
If you had a policy in force at the sales closing date for your county and did not cancel it, you are required to insure the crop. If you do not complete/sign an acreage report by the acreage reporting date your policy will be cancelled for the next crop year. There is no longer “linkage”, that is a requirement that you carry crop insurance to be eligible for FSA programs.
