Same boat as you never bad enough crop to get a pay out , and then had a irrigation failure and a really bad crop and they ruled it , not a act of god so it was exempt, no pay out . Keep your premium and basically self insure, as far as I know there is no across the board requirement that you have to have crop insurance to be in fsa programs, or to borrow money.

On your wheat , take out fire with your regular agent ( the guy that you have your liability and vehicles with ) most offer it and it's cheap. Wheat is 100persent loss when it burns not a lot to debate there.
