Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Yielding above APH has kept about everyone above water the last 3 years. I hate to think what it will be like if we just go back to average yields with the same prices,
I was doing some comparisons of gross per acre and and had we yielded our APH instead of 30 bushels or more above APH we would need around $4.65 corn to make the same gross per acre this year. (expenses would be the same). Unless something changes, the worst is yet to come. |
