My Dad went through a few treadmills. The last one he got from Sears and bought a great warranty package. I am not a fan of warranties and I wouldn't recommend anything Sears now but Dad got his money's worth out of that warranty. Like you, he'd get so many miles and the motor would croak. It would take a week but they'd just stop out and put one in.
