Clark, SD
I should rephrase what I said. In the fall everything is strip tilled and the p and k is put 8-9 inches deep, then in the spring when we plant we put 10-34-0 in furrow to get the seed started. The nitrogen is put on in a "true" 2x2 fashion and then the corn is all sidedressed laster in the year. Over all of the trails done, the old school 2x2 still outpreforms and of these other claimed 2x2 methods. In my thinking if you're only placing your nitrogen at 1-2 inches and the seed at 2 inches, you're not getting the most efficient use out of the nitrogen.
