Lisbon, OH | Took a few pictures Saturday morning. Trying to get chores done before the storm came in. Ended up only getting about 3 inches. They are calling for quite a bit more next Saturday into Sunday. 3-5" in the afternoon, 5-8" overnight, and another 1-3" on Sunday. Guess we'll wait and see what happens.
Have tried different ways to feed hay to this bunch. Would really like to unroll, but I would have to feed every night after dark after I make it home, and some days that's just not possible. I feed in a different spot every day. We've been feeding some pretty stemmy stuff lately. They waste some, but this is reclaimed mine ground, so the organic matter helps some. Go through about 2 - 4x4's a day. Bought some pretty nice 4x5's that are chopped. They clean them up down to the dirt. Hay around here is getting high for our area, so I'm glad to see very little waste.
