It's sapping already in the "Y". Be dead in a couple years anyway. The way it looks compared to the ground....it looks like you cut it down after you trimmed it up. So she may have some merit in saying that you killed it. lmao.
Trim trees high enough that you don't have to duck when you mow on a riding mower. If it was a push mower...even better. That would be 6' plus a couple extra inches for clearance safety here.
