Leroy ks | 2 years ago Memorial Day weekend wife and I get home bout 1am from planting beans. Just barely got to sleep and smelt electrical smoke jumped up from bed. Went to basement killed main breaker! Found it was the geothermal unit water furnace. A copper line had sprung a pin hole leak pointed at the electrical control board! Unit was just out of 5 year warranty!
Was hard to get back to sleep! Lucky my neighbor was home he runs a heating cooling company and bless his heart he fixed it Memorial Day! He said it was such thin tubing he had trouble soldering it. I asked surely if I wasn’t home would it have tripped the breaker? He replied I wouldn’t bet on it! | |
