I buy a 50/50 mix of bean hull pellets and corn gluten, then I just add shelled corn, try to have 1/3 each product, feed 5 lb. daily. Feed free choice hay in bale feeders. I have grass bales and alfalfa/ orchard grass bales, try to keep best hay for calving. I know there are better ways but for 55 cows can’t justify more equipment. I’m 55 miles west of Springfield.
