n.c.iowa | We picked corn up until my early teen years, somewhere around 20-25,000 bu. Several different wooden cribs, wire cribs, and usually one wire cribbing crib. Dad, grandpa, and my uncle had a 2mh at my earlist memories, when grandpa retired, dad and my uncle bought a new idea pull type, pulled it with a 806 at first, then a 1066 later on.
I was watching the guy that had the John Deere 300 picker one day pick a neighbors field, he had two guys running 300bu. Gravity wagons absolutely running their butts off, the elevator on the crib never stopped. | |
