I've put Dr. Scholl's inserts in about all of my shoes. Even new ones. And I buy better shoes than I used to. Those inserts will wear out so if your pain starts coming back with your work shoes it may be time to replace the inserts.
I've also bought foot wraps to wear at night. These all seem to help. Don't have much pain anymore.
