South Central Kansas | Baling hay is an art not a science. Hay that has low stem moisture can be baled with more dew moisture (lower baler pressure) and show ok moisture with a bale probe moisture meter and still keep well. Hay with to much stem moisture can show good pressure on the baler but high moisture with a hand held probe. All tools in the tool box are good to use but with experience you learn how to interpret the information you get from them. | |
