SE IL | I hear ya on making the investments that help lower costs/create opportunities for the future. Just depends on if you're trying to build a dynasty or make it to retirement. Lots of operations don't have heirs that have the desire or abilities to continue the business. I see a lot of opportunities for the next generation as the peak of the baby boomers reach retirement. Even some of those with a successor are having second thoughts with the current economy. I see more consolidation ahead and those with a plan and a smart and energetic next generation stand to reap the benefits of those earlier investments. It doesn't hurt to have some outside the box thinking either. | |
