Eighty Four, PA | Brother & I took 4 days to split a Kubota M9000 (90hp) tractor with loader & cab to replace the clutch and correct a problem in the PTO clutch. The dealer is working on the PTO clutch assembly; it appears that the PTO brake is the problem. Definitely do not want to do this project again very soon!!
We knew to engage the PTO at low engine RPM. We learned that we can either disengage at low RPM or use an overrunning clutch on the tractor's PTO shaft to minimize wear & tear of the PTO brake.
I'm creating a WORD file of the project in case anyone wants a copy when we are done.
