Subject: RE: Ford vs Chevy half tons

Rockpile. I worked for a car dealer for 11 years. When we got low on pickups, boss would go to a dealer auction and buy pickups, usually half dozen of Chevy's/GMC's Dodges, and ferds. The Chevy's/GMC's never set on the lot more than a week. The Dodges maybe a month at the longest, the fords might set there several months. The last few years we didn't buy too many fords. We had too many with bad engines and transmissions. The tranny repair shop sure liked us. Tony, our ford mechanic replaced motors with guaranteed used or rebuilt ones. Good luck with your decision.
