I have the last 4450 that was sold at my local dealer, and there were 55's sitting there. I couldn't tell a bit of difference in how either of them ran, but the 55 had a whole lot more electronic crap glued to the dashboard.

still really enjoy my old 4450, has around 4500 hours on it now. ps but only 2wd. I believe the motor plate designates it a 7.6 which is also simply 466 c.i.

If your 4450 ran EXACTLY like the 4455, than it must have a 7.6L engine instead of a 466. Those two engines are both 466 cu. in. engines, but they sound totally different. You really think about it at an idle. I never heard of a 50 series with a factory installed 7.6L engine.

If your Engine plate designates it as a 6076, than it is not a 6466. A 7.6L has 466 cu. in. of displacement, but is a redesigned 466 engine. A different (and better) monkey.

If your 4450 does in fact have a 7.6L engine that was factory installed, I just learned something new today!!
