Subject: Snow fall more than expected.

Southeast Colorado
Woke up this morning and have at least 4 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow on the ground. It snowed a good part of yesterday and got pretty heavy as we went to sleep. The temperature was 38 degrees most of yesterday so the snow didn't start to accumulate until right before dark. Now this morning it's still 33 degrees out. I'm thinking we're really wet! Kind of funny how the weather forecasters had us for about 1" of snow expected out of this storm. Pretty sure I can do better than them here for us anyway. Anytime I see the center of the low pressure riding down I-40 meeting moisture coming up from the gulf we get a pretty good storm. This time they were saying it was going to stay north of us and I told the wife we'd end up with quite a bit. Seems so simple..........why do the meteorologists miss it? Anyway..............how is everyone else making out? I've got to go feed the cows in a bit. Feel sorry for them. They've been in mud now for a straight month.
