Some of those products have up to 60 percent of the purchase price coming back to the retailer between manufacturer and distribution programs. It’s not that the retailer is losing money, it’s waiting for and having to manage so much negative cash flow.
Money cost is more added fat in already overpriced chemical, with the kick back scheme. Farmers need to wise up and buy Gen Chems Vs name brand when the option is available.
