| Today we tore the vertical unload auger out of our 9760 and also the 90 degree gearbox in the unload auger. It seems like every two years we have to replace the vertical auger, not because the flighting is wore out, but because the splines are in rough shape on either the upper or lower end. My question is, can a guy outsource the splined slugs somewhere and just cut the old out? Old ones are only held in with three welds and we're pretty handy in the shop. We're just not wanting to keep buying a $1,100 vertical auger every two years, Thanks for all help!! | |
