Wallis, TX | Houston museum district, especially museum of natural sciences should keep their attention for half a day. Houston zoo is nearby as well.

Never been there but heard moody gardens in Galveston is worth a look. Not sure about the kids though.

Houston livestock show & rodeo will be going on late February to mid March. Lots to see and do there.
