S Illinois | Tract 5(Champaign Co) could probably state that claim, but those other tracts aren't anything special for central IL. 140+PI are the really choice tracts. The OP can likely comment some more, but as one gets to the Eastern side of the state, land can become more localized and not everything is deep flat black. It looks like those first 4 tracts are stating to get into that more sandy pocket NE of Champaign. Don't misunderstand, these can all still likely raise 200bu corn year in year out and I wish S IL ground was that good but the real ice cream soil was tract 5. | |
