NW Iowa | I don't think I'd move a lot of corn yet. I could have got 3.6 yesterday for old crop. Not a bad price if you need a little cash. Hard to pull the trigger when I just delivered $4. Already bidding 3.7 for oct-nov bid and 3.8 for dec. Depending on your cost per acre, I'm looking for 3.8 harvest, 4 dec for starting on new crop. I think these cash bids are not hard to hit. World supply is a little low, and demand is good. Beans are a dead stick, unless something happens. The MFP with 8.5-9.5 beans should've put most producers in the money, if you had good yield. South America is dry and will affect the corn and beans if it hangs in there. Just too early to be selling a lot. Market usually trends up till planting. As long as no black swan event. | |
