Watching CBS This Morning and they have a farmer on from Polk IA crying how he is being so financially harmed because of the shutdown, he can't get his Trump tariff payment. Where did they find him and how much did they pay him to look so pathetic and stupid? He even pulls his Great Plains drill out of the shed and cleans out the excess seed from last year. First off clean your drill out before you put it in the shed for the year but most importantly you will get your MFP payment. The USDA has already announced there will be an extension once the govt shutdown is over. If he is in dire straits that bad $1.65 won't save you, call the auctioneer. We as producers get enough bad press due to the farm program already, even though our non-farm cousins overlook the food and nutrition aspect of it. Where has journalism gone and the days of "and that's the way it is" the famous sign off of Walter.
