-North Mo | Agree all operations are different due to feed available and location. Few years ago I was dedicated to every cow must show revenue every year and sold her as soon as was found she would not - not all breds calve on time. So I preged late summer and sold opens also had a tight cutoff date to sell the late calvers, I've always blood preged. The ones I sold late were always heavy and sold well but do not feel the late + P2 would have sold that well in early May. In doing that i feel has payed well in terms of fertility and reduced labor of short calving window. Maybe missed some opertuninities by not playing the market with my culls, but my focus was on feeding good cows. | |
