eastern Nebraska does need irrigation, there is not irrigation where there is no water. there was sub 30 bu beans and sub 80 bu corn right here in 18. and in 2012 same. and in 02 lots zero'd out. and several other years were not cherries either.

I’m not far from the river. Most irrigation pumps are for show or crop insurance purposes. 2012 was rare. Most APH on dry land is 160+. However, we’ve raised 180-200 every year since 2014. Soybean APH usually around 50+. County averages around 48. Some of the best dry land farm ground in Nebraska is in Cass, Sarpy, Nemaha, Ricardson and Otoe county |
