Hello Higherhopes! Sorry it took to all day to respond. Yes in my area in Oneida Co. Selenium is short, however in your area I thought there was problems with maybe too much Selenium? I thought a quite a while back I've heard of problems with fert. mines over there. But I sure could be wrong, it dealt with cattle dying from poisoning? I would really consult vets in your area. I know when riding our horses hard in spring it helped to put them on selenium salt to help prevent tying up. I always keep a bottle of Banamine in trucks incase it ever happened. That is one of the most painful deaths I've ever watched on a saddle horse. I witnessed one a few years back, they was too late in calling me to run some drug to them. I never want to see that again.

Always glad to see a Idahoan on here!
