I would use the cut gates on the trailer even if I lost space. That keep the cows from moving around on your trailer specially if you are hauling big cows. If you are buying bred cows I would not over crowd the cows on the trailer. I rather make two trips or limit my buying to what I could get on one load. I say eight cows around 1100 to 1200 pounds.
