Subject: Secondary sump pumps - water vs. electrical powered

Leesport, PA
Have a partially finished basement in the house we moved into last summer. Have a traditional electrical sump pump in place now but know we need to get a backup in place. We tend to be gone 3 to 7 days at a time at least once a month. What's the opinion of a battery backup pump vs a water powered backup pump? Any tips on plumbing it into the current discharge line? I am assuming with a bit of time putting a backup sump pump in is a reasonable task for someone with minimal plumbing experience?

Thanks!

Ryan
