Subject: Curious how you can spread that cheap?

nw illinois

Just did some rough figuring on my own. Using a tanker I can maybe do 4.5 acres an hour if close to barn--Big FWA $40/hour, Labor $20/hour, Fuel $20/hour, pumping tractor + fuel $20/hour  = $22.22 per acre.  Lets just say a $60000 tanker 20 years 600 acres/year 0 salvage value but also figure no repairs-- $5 per acre.

Not saying you don't do it for $15 but would like to learn how. Maybe cheaper tractors and no $ for your labor?

Drag line?
