NC Iowa | I'd venture to guess about 30-50% available first year using the TKN number or total kjeldahl nitrogen number which is both organic and ammonium form N. The majority of your P & K should be available and we would always use the P205 and K20 numbers. N is just so variable though since it is manure and some in organic and some in ammonium form.
I've sold chicken litter for 4 years and we've always figured half N available at best. Obviously different source but similar in availability. | |
