Like the title says I am considering buying some beaten down ethanol stocks....GPRE, PEIX. As a corn producer i always want the price of corn to rise but then that makes the product more expensive to the ethanol plant whose margins are already very tight. Is the price of corn as major of a factor as other things in the ethanol indujstry? Price of oil, exports, usage, blend, etc. These companies have been beaten down pretty far. Some of it self inflicted, some of it the ethanol market and some of it from overall market falling. Thoughts on buying these companies at these prices?
