I have dry-lotted beef cows before. Don't like the looks of the total confinement bedded barns. I would want a southern facing, open front monoslope, with a concrete outside yard to feed on. Nice to have a bigger dirt lot to turn them out on in good whether but enough concrete to lock them on when muddy.
