I have a new to me Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" that I am hoping to use to connect to the Iowa CORS network. I just received the login info from the Iowa CORS in the last couple of days so it should be the correct updated info and I have confirmed my registration. I have loaded the NTRIP app and I have entered the Caster IP, the Caster Port, the username and password as supplied to me and I am using the Android GPS for the reported location. At this time I do not have a cellular data plan so I am connected to the internet through my home wifi router. Also at this time I am just playing with the tablet and the NTRIP app to try to familiarize myself with it.
When I try to connect I get the following error messages
Trying to Connect...
Failed to connect:java.io.IOException:Service discovery failed
And it just keeps repeating the above error messages.
Is something not setup correctly or is there some reason what I am seeing is normal? I would think I should be able to receive some sort of data stream from the Iowa CORS, but I am very new to this so I don't know.
