| Few different ways you can go about this. I'll start with my preference. Run the flooring up to the tub leaving 1/8" or so. Do the same around the toilet, then apply a thin bean of silicone. Pics attached show my tub and also doorway done this way. As far as doorways go, if you get the profile right, you won't need a transition or threshold from your bathroom to whatever you are butting the floor up to. Transitions are usually a trouble point down the road, plus I just prefer the look.
You could also glue a piece of quarter round to your floor along the edge of the tub to cover the gap that way, or, you could glue a piece of vinyl base to the tub itself.
