Subject: RE: Birth certificates

North of London
Birth certificates have changed through the years.
Being an old guy I have 2 identical green sheets of paper that my parents received as my birth certificate shortly after I was born.
Apparently they should have only got one but there are 2 identical sheets.
I have kept one safe at home and in an earlier time travelled with one of the copies finally getting a passport only about 10 years ago.

My original Berth Certificate slowed my progression through customs many times, not because there was a problem but because the border agent always had to visit about the piece of paper always saying something like 'we do not see one like this very often'.

So now both copies stay at home and I use my passport.
Have never crossed the US border since I got the passport so not sure if it would change anything or not.

There is something about flying over the US that the passport numbers have to be sent to US authorities I think.
