East of Broken Bow | I've done a bit of it, and it is designed to 'float' on the floor, so a little gap is no big deal, just be sure it is covered with wide enough trim that stuff doesn't build up along the edges of it.
Also, I wouldn't even think about putting down something that isn't waterproof. Not water 'resistant', but truly water proof. If you get a slow drip somewhere, or a kid spills something and it sits all night, water resistant can stain, warp, or even bubble. The truly waterproof stuff, just clean it off. For what little extra it costs, wouldn't even think about anything else.
Also, before you start, it snaps together easiest a certain way. Figure out which way that is, and start putting it down accordingly. It doesn't seem like a big deal to spend an extra 10 seconds, and a bit more effort doing it the 'hard' way, but after about the hundredth joint, you will be cursing yourself for not double checking which way was easiest. | |
