| On the flip side, contact lenses have made me better about wearing safety glasses. Before contacts I almost never wore safety glasses due to how poorly they fit over my prescription glasses. I have had prescription safety glasses in the past, but they you get sweat and dirt between the lenses and... they suck. This actually bit me recently as I was doing some metal work wearing my prescription glasses and got some in my eye... granted a face shield would have prevented that.
Anyway, point is contacts have actually made me safer as I'm either wearing safety glasses or sunglasses that cover more of my eyes than my prescription glasses would. I rarely do any sort of metal or shop work without either. | |
