Jimmy49 - 1/8/2019 22:12 I was just reading of the demise of Sears Roebuck. How many NAT readers live in a Sears house or know of them in your neighborhood ?

The equivalent in Canada was the Eatons catalogue home. Yes, you could buy your new home from Eatons, Materials were shipped by rail to your nearest station and hauled by whatever conveyance you had to your yard site. Built on site by you or a crew of artisans. This one was bought by my grand parents about 1920. There is another one just down the road on the same pattern. The Eaton Court. I have a couple of catalogues from that era but not the Eaton plan book of homes.
