Central Illinois

One night last September, it was cold and rainy when I went to feed the cats in the machine shed.

One of the half-grown kittens had fallen into a bucket of oil and was completely covered. He was staggering around and looked pretty cold so I rubbed some GoJo on him a couple times and rubbed him with some paper towels. Still looked pretty cold so I got a couple of dishpans of hot water with dish soap and gave him a couple baths. He really liked the hot water and just sat there while I washed him. Didn't get it all, but he looked a lot better when I got done.

I wondered if he would live, (probably swallowed some oil) but now he has a beautiful coat of hair and is pretty fat too.

FS oil run through a John Deere engine for a 100 hours, too late now but probably should have been using it on my hair about 10 years ago.

Now you know how to get oil off a cat.
