Subject: Need some advice from cow poop experts

south west iowa
We are going to start spreading the cow calf poop from out the cow barn. When the weather will let us. Wish we had a scale on our KUHN Knight PS 160 Series spreader. But maybe next year we can get a set put on. We plan on trying to load each load as close to the same every time and keep track of the loads per field as to the amount put on. And then go and get one load weighed. How big of a sample do I need to take out of every load? And how long will the sample keep in a bucket? And where can I take the sample to be tested as to the value of it. Is there a place in Omaha NE? Thanks for any help any of you can give me.
