I'm partial to the Phoenix Grill. I have zero interest in smokers.
I had a gas Phoenix grill, still have it sitting in a shed, and had good luck with it. I haven’t used it in years.
I bought a Green Mountain pellet grill 5-6-7 years ago, can’t remember exactly when. The first year I loved it, worked great. Then as time marched on I started having troubles, noticed I said the word troubles, as in plural. I’m constantly fixing something on it it seems, fan motors, low pellet alarm, starter switch, the heat shield under the grill, constantly having trouble with the pellets hanging up even with fresh pellets right from the store. It’s gotten to the point I dread firing it up, it’s like is it going to work or not this time, I just cross my fingers hoping I can get another meal out of it. I keep it covered it with the HD Green Mountain cover when it’s not being used so it’s not like it in the harsh elements.
Not sure what I’ll buy next time but pretty darn sure it’s not going to be a pellet grill. I don’t like gas grills either. |
What grill to buy?
