| Traegers are not grills! While their adjustable temp gauge goes 400+ they rarely get above 400. Mostly around 375. I’m on my second one on 12 years. They are a fantastic smokers but, terrible at searing, so is the Yoder. My brother bought it because they said they can sear, nope! Must have a surface temp of 700+ to sear. Pellet smokers won’t quite get there. The Traeger will smoke whatever, however you want it at a great price. I can’t imagine spending more for anything else. In addition to smoking, I cook nearly everything on it, except for steaks and burgers. | |
