Kingston,Mi
Each of the dual wheel combos is on its own steerable post, the assembly can be steered sideways if needed. There were 4 trailers in each assembly with 6 rows of axles each with at least 4 dual wheel assemblies per axle row times 2 trailer assemblies, so about 384 tires under the 800 ton load plus the trailer weight. The load alone is only about 2 tons per tire plus the weight of the trailer divided by the tire number. Guesstimate of load trailer and tires at possibly 6000 pounds per tire contact patch or roughly a loaded steering axle on a C70 Chevy.

What I found to be remarkable was the trucks were not Peterbilts, merely Western Stars and to compound the astonishment, strobes rather than Hella rotators.

Mammomet's website has a case study where they lifted and repositioned (3) concrete blockhouses and a lockgate that are listed as cultural items on the World Heritage listing. This occurred in Holland, the reinforced concrete block houses weighed up to 1600 tons each and the path traveled was essentially swamp. This isn't their first rodeo.
