Fruita CO | My parents had a 51 Mercury, black, with the flathead V8. Traded it in for a new 60 Chevy. About all I remember about the car is it was bad about vapor-locking in the summer...I remember Dad rigging up a gallon syrup can with a hole in the bottom to drip water on a rag tied around the fuel pump. I think that was about the year before they got rid of it.
I can't remember what transmission it had, I never drove it... | |
