Finger Lakes | How much ground, shelled corn can I put in a cow ration to replace hay safely? Currently they get 2.5# corn, 1.5# ground oats, mineral, a dab of sbm & hay. The mineral has Bovatec in it, is that as good as Rumensin on a higher corn diet? Here on a dm basis, it's cheaper to feed shelled corn than hay. (I'm short of hay & it's expensive). Cows condition is on thin side to good. It's not feasible to split herd | |
