Exactly - this shouldn't be a goal. Thats just a way to get rid of as much hay as you can.
Its like going to a chinese buffet and eating plate after plate, and yeah it tastes good, but then you're hungry again a few hours later. Over all goal should be to keep the cattle in the best condition as you can, with the least amount of feed.
Try limit feeding yourself on chinese food alone and see how well you do.
